Room to Grow Podcast with Emily Gough

May 8, 2019

Maybe you've felt that tug that you're meant to do bigger and better things, but when it comes time to actually do it, you put it off. It feels too big, too scary, putting yourself on the line too much and the risk of failure seems too high to be worth it.

This has come up for me a lot lately as I work on completing some big projects that are in a totally new realm for me, and I've been talking to a lot of women about getting their podcasts and businesses up and running and the biggest obstacle I hear in their voices is fear.

Fear of failing.  Fear of not offering enough value.  Fear of showing up imperfectly, with perfectionism rearing its' ugly head, and feeling as though they don't have things to say that people will want to hear.

I'm breaking down what fear really is, how it's showing up in your life and your business, and what you can do to look fear in the face and give it the F-you.  Ready?  Buckle up!

“It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new. But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful.  There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power.”

-Alan Cohen
