With running an online business becoming an increasingly popular form of work, there's one factor that most of us aren't talking about: the loneliness that can come with it.
Sure, it sounds badass! Posting luxurious-looking Instagram posts poolside with a drink in hand, while simultaneously getting to make your own hours and not have a boss to answer to?! Who wouldn't want that? #winning
Ignoring that fact that this mental image could not be farther than the reality most of the time (HA! Seriously though...), there is all kinds of research to support the fact that entrepreneurship comes with a unique set of stressors, most of which are made worse when you factor in what a lonely journey it can become, especially when you're working alone from home most of the time.
And as much as this introvert LOVES alone time, I quickly realized after quitting my full time corporate job that I very much still needed face time with other humans on a regular basis.
With that in mind, I'm talking to you about the challenges that entrepreneurs in the digital age face, and how to deal with the loneliness that can often come with it.
I'm thrilled to announce that moving forward, I will be a monthly contributor to Greater Impact Writing, an incredible platform dedicated not only to helping people become better writers, but to have a more significant impact in the world. You can check out my first article now, Entrepreneurship in the Digital Age is a Lonely Journey.
